Every day, across our cities and communities, independent reclaimers play a vital yet often unseen role in keeping recyclable materials out of landfills. They are the backbone of Africa’s recycling economy - working tirelessly, often without protection, recognition, or fair compensation. At Renew All Africa, we exist to change that story.

Our work is rooted in a simple belief: true sustainability must uplift people as much as it protects the planet. We are formalising the informal economy by intentionally integrating independent reclaimers into a structured safety and logistics network that values dignity, fairness, and inclusion.

Through this network, reclaimers are not treated as an afterthought, but as essential partners in the circular economy. We provide access to protective equipment, safer working conditions, and organised collection and logistics systems that reduce risk and increase efficiency. Just as importantly, we ensure reclaimers receive fair and transparent value for the materials they recover - recognising their labour as skilled, necessary, and worthy of respect.

By bridging the gap between informal recovery and formal waste management systems, Renew All Africa strengthens recycling supply chains while creating more stable and sustainable livelihoods. Materials are tracked, quality is improved, and recovery becomes more reliable - benefiting recyclers, producers, municipalities, and the environment alike.
